Remote Opportunity as an Information Security Analyst
Position Overview
The Information Security Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets, systems, and data.
This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring security incidents, and implementing effective solutions to enhance security posture.
As an integral member of our IT and security team, you will ensure our software and ERP systems are fortified against emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities, ensuring timely detection and response.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing on software and ERP systems.
Implement, manage, and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
Work with development teams to ensure secure coding practices are followed.
Identify and remediate security gaps in networks, applications, and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage security tools and systems.
Prepare and maintain documentation, including security policies, incident reports, and audit logs.
Conduct regular security awareness training for internal teams.
Stay current on industry trends, new threats, and emerging technologies in cybersecurity.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of experience in information security, network security, or related roles.
Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and SIEM solutions.
Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption protocols.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
Proficiency in scripting or coding (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) is a plus.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience in securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of ERP systems security and access control.
Experience with DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD pipeline security.
