We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Business Controller to join our dynamic team on a remote basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of our business operations in the Gulf region. You will play a critical role in driving strategic decision-making, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for executive leadership.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with business leaders to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and improve financial performance.
- Financial Control and Reporting: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, implementing mitigation strategies to protect the business.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and other financial regulations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement automation and digital tools to streamline operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a financial controller or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and tax regulations in the Gulf region.
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English, with Arabic language proficiency preferred.
