This position is on behalf of one of our client companies, not a direct role with Imploy.

We are seeking a talented and experienced chemical engineer to join our team. the ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering principles and experience in petrochemical manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes for the production of petrochemicals and specialty chemicals.

Develop process flow diagrams (pfds), heat and material balances, and process simulation models to evaluate process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations of new process technologies and plant expansions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including r&d, operations, and maintenance, to implement process improvements and drive continuous optimization efforts.

Perform process safety analyses (e.g., hazop, pha) and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure safe and reliable operation of chemical processes.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to production teams to resolve process-related issues and optimize plant performance.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in chemical engineering, identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Years of experience in chemical engineering, preferably in the petrochemicals industry.

Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and transport phenomena.

Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., aspen hysys, chemcad) and other engineering tools.

Experience with process safety management (psm) systems and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., osha, epa).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to approach complex challenges systematically and creatively.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
