We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering and experience in maintenance planning, execution, and optimization in the mining and minerals sector.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement maintenance strategies and programs to optimize equipment reliability, availability, and performance.

Conduct equipment condition assessments and failure analysis to identify root causes of equipment failures and develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans.

Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, including routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and equipment overhauls, to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

Develop and manage maintenance budgets, track maintenance costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.

Collaborate with operations, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts, tools, and resources for maintenance activities.

Implement and maintain computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track equipment history, maintenance schedules, and work orders.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to equipment reliability and maintenance performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in the mining and minerals sector.

Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles, and condition-based maintenance techniques.

Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling software and tools (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and develop effective solutions.
