We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in sourcing and procuring goods and services for our organization.
Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select qualified vendors and suppliers.
- Procurement: Negotiate and procure goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Purchase Orders: Create and process purchase orders for goods and services.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Cost Control: Negotiate favorable pricing and terms with vendors to minimize costs.
- Supplier Performance: Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
- Contract Management: Manage contracts with vendors and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong understanding of purchasing and supply chain management principles
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in using purchasing software and systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
